Hey girlies. It’s been a while since I last posted a NOTD, actually it’s been a while since I posted anything! I’m in my third and final year at university and the workload right now is crazy! Once May 14th rolls around I’ll be free to blog ’til my heart’s content. I went into Boots the other day on a specific mission to pick up the new Revlon lip butters, which, if you follow me on Instagram (justanotherbeautyblogger) you’ll have seen me upload a picture of.

I only picked up two of the lipsticks and was stuck on what else to pick up as Boots currently have 3 for 2 across all their make-up – a beauty blogger’s heaven! I wandered round to the Models Own stand and like a magpie this glittering beauty caught my eye…

Models Own Ibiza Mix

Models own have teamed up with Hed Kandi to produce five new shades of polish, perfect for summer; Balearic Cool is a bright sky blue; Hedonist, a red-toned coral; Beach Party, a bright yellow; Disco Heaven, a glittery gold and finally Ibiza Mix. I’ve heard that these don’t actually hit the shelves of Boots stores until April, although my Boots already had them out so it might be worth popping in and having a look. I picked up Ibiza Mix which is a gorgeous glitter polish filled to the brim with gold, blue, turquoise, pink and orange glitter. If you’re a bit of a magpie like me, you’ll love this polish.

Also, if you like OPI’s Rainbow Connection but don’t fancy paying out the arm for it, this is a great (and much cheaper) alternative, especially with the 3 for 2 offer currently running in Boots. I don’t own Rainbow Connection but from looking up swatches online, the two look virtually identical.

OPI Rainbow Connection

I’ve applied two coats of Ibiza Mix on top of 17’s Mint Choc Chip as I like my glittery polish to be quite dense, although it still looks amazing with just one coat. It’s the type of polish which looks great over any colour – I currently have it on top of black polish on my toes which looks fab and I can’t wait to try it with a nude shade as well as Barry M’s Peach Melba. My only little gripe with it is that I found the glitter wanted to congregate at the tip of my nails which it has a little on my middle finger, although that’s nothing that can’t be easily fixed with a little poke and prod around with the brush.

Will you be buying Ibiza Mix or any of the other Hed Kandi polishes?
